I started my career as a wedding and family portrait photographer in 2000.  While I still love both subjects, My love of cooking caused me a deep desire to learn how to photograph food.

Soon after posting my food photography on Facebook, I was fortunate that two leading Hawaii publishers discovered me.  As my photography works got published, I began receiving inquiries from other editors and publishers from the US mainland and internationally.

 

One of the fun assignments was working with the Japanese Travel Guidebook Editors.  To make a very photo-oriented guidebook, I was asked to photograph beyond portraits and food, such as fashion, products, interior and exterior of luxurious resorts, and so on.  That experience helped me to expand my photography skills.

 

I consider all images I create are like my children.  I photograph (birth) them and edit (raise) them.  I won't let go of these important processes until I deliver them to your hands.  This is why I do not hire associate photographers or photo editors. When you ask me to be your photographer, You can ensure receive quality photography created by me.

 

Whatever I photograph, I always try to put my feet in your shoes to imagine your thoughts, passion, and emotions.  

 

That's why I focus on emotions.
